“I am an Orthodox Christian, an ordained subdeacon, almost 50, and was at the Southern Diocese conference of the Orthodox Church in America in Atlanta a few weeks ago when a priest, Father Robert R., from Augusta GA, sat down beside me and we started talking about my tattoos. One thing led to another and before you know it, two Orthodox Christians are reminiscing about the Crucified, Cornerstone festival, Six Feet Deep, and Burrito from 8 Ball Cholos (who actually introduced me to the Orthodox Church) etc.
He's a priest with a family and a congregation, I serve in an Orthodox Monastery here in Asheville, but it all went back to the crazy days of the Cru and the other bands who did what they did, not for money and fame, but to spread the Gospel.
It was really ironic and probably something that only God could have ordained to happen. To make a long story short, that's why I bought the t's and the cd/dvd. A priest from GA reminded me what it was like back in the day. Glory to Jesus Christ! Glory forever!
